---- Nikko had been at the mall now for what seemed like a century, in all reality it had probably been thirty minutes or so but for him that was like a lifetime commitment. He didn't deal well in the mall, that was for anything else other than eating or just hanging out with his friends. So basically he hated shopping, even though that was what a mall was for he just hated it.The only reason he was here in the first place was because his older sisters birthday was coming up and he still hadn't got her a present, he always resented buying that woman a present because he only ever saw her on birthdays and at Christmas and times like that, when their family would just get together because it was the holidays, not because they really wanted so.So right now, the young man was extremely pissed off and empty handed, he had been slouching around the place now eying up different stores wondering what the hell to get the blood relation that he only saw twice a year, three times if he was lucky. He hated the concept of gift giving, he liked the receiving part but when it came to picking out something special for someone, he failed, completely and utterly failed.Life was so much easier when his mother used to buy presents for his family members.
---- Right now Nikko was stood in a line in starbucks, he had an insane craving for coffee in the hopes that it would lighten his spirits a little. He kept telling himself that this was just going to be for an hour or so, he would eventually find some crappy gift and he could send it off to her and be done with it, for another year he would be free at least. It almost made him want to smile, that was until he was called to be served and it wiped the smile clean from his face.He hated store workers, it was probably evident in his sour facial expression as his brown eyes eyed up the thirty something year old male, obviously not capable of getting a real job. Then again, he had no room to talk considering he was on a terrible wage as a photographer. The fake happy tone shot from the workers mouth, he hated how they said 'please' and 'thank you' as if they weren't payed to be saying those things. One eyebrow raised as he parted his lips, he scowled slightly "coffee" was all he said, he didn't bother with the please because he didn't see the point, either way they were getting the money from him, so a few extra words wouldn't have made any difference. He placed his money on the counter and avoided eye contact with the guy serving him.
---- After getting his beverage he exited the store, pushing carelessly past the people trying to get in the door from the opposite side, he had no patience to wait and let them through. The first sip of the warm sweet liquid felt like heaven to him, it had been ages since he had tasted a good cup of coffee like that, it was almost worth the fact that it was overpriced. His deep, brown eyes scanned the setting before he looked up, he had pretty much conquered the first floor so it only seemed right to give up and start the second floor, hopefully something better would be up there. He didn't even know what he was looking for, clothes? a CD? he didn't know what she was into, he didn't stay in touch with her enough to know her likes and dislikes, maybe he could just send money? That would be simple enough, but then he would probably get a mouthful about being careless and not picking out something special. As he pondered what to do he came face to face with the elevator, nobody else seemed to be lining up for it so it looked like he would have it all to himself, now that was enough to make him smile. The warm coffee tingled in his right hand as he used his left one to push the button to call the elevator, he stood impatiently watching it come down from the second floor as he tapped his foot a little. Finally it came down to his level and pinged as the doors opened, the dark haired youth stepped inside, waiting for the doors to close.

We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals.
Millie was having a good day today, even with the fact that her brothers ditched her for more interesting addendum's. "They were always short sighted in good literature anyways," she mused to herself. Looking around in the bookstore, she was hoping to find a new poem book, mostly for the fact she adored poems. Be they dark or happy, romantic or tragic, it was always nice to read. It seemed like there was a poem for every mood she had and that very fact she adored the most. Auburn bangs rested over her petite eyebrows while the rest was pulled back into a little tail. Her hair was quite short, but she still somehow managed to get most of the strands into the inch and a half long tail. The hair around her ears curled over them, hiding the white cartilage beneath the red, yet the silver earrings within her earlobe and top of her ear could be somewhat seen. Big brown eyes examined the books upon the shelves while rosy red lips held a gentle smile of pleasure. Light freckles dotted the upper part of her cheeks and went across her nose. Batting her eyes, the long black eyelashes gave her an elegant look of beauty. Wrapped around her neck was a fuzzy green scarf that rested across her chest and upon the turquoise sweater she was wearing. Blue jeans hugged to her hips below the sweater and a pair of black sneakers were fitted upon her feet. The white soles squeaked with their wonderful new shine. She wasn't sure how long she'd been in the book store, but it had to be a good thirty or so minutes alone, since she was having a difficult choice of books. In the end, she ended up getting several books, uncaring about the price at the time being. After all, you need to pleasure yourself from time to time, right?
With the books bought, she moved out of the store and towards the elevator with the intent of staying inside. Several people were lined up already and she simply rolled her eyes as she filed in behind them. At that point, she wrapped the shopping bag around her wrist and pulled out a single book. The cover was rather dark, holding a black decayed looking edge with crimson on the inside. 'Course, the crimson area held the effects of cracks through out it while the title read 'The Book of Tragedy' by Julian Lesouffrir. Smiling happily, she pried the cover open and began to read it contently, ignoring the stare from the elder lady in the elevator with her. It didn't take long till she was all alone, thankfully. Once she was alone, she took a seat within the corner, just beside the elevator door, to hopefully go unnoticed. This way, she'd have the upper hand, plus it would allow her to freak out her brothers if they decided to use the elevator. Either way, she began to engulf herself in the book, reading the various poems it had upon the pages. Some were rather tragic in nature while others held a bit of humor, but Millie believed it was a decent book. As the elevator began to go down, she looked up idly just as the doors opened and a dark haired man entered.
Staring at Nikko, she smiled softly as she spoke just as gently, "Hi," was all her voice shared to the stranger. After the little greeting, her eyes dropped back to the book, uncaring if her greeting had startled Nikko or not. In Millie's head, if you go out, you should be expecting the unexpected from strangers, it was only natural, right? Shrugging to her own question, she pushed it aside and went back to reading the pages of her book. However this was short lived as she began to raise an eyebrow and her eyes diverted back up to Nikko. For some reason, he looked familiar to her, though she wasn't sure why, so naturally she had to ask, "Do I know you?" Perhaps it was pointless, but she would swear she knew him from school, least seen him around back in those high school years. 'Course, she could always be wrong, sometimes faces and names mix together and confuse her brain, making her think she knows someone she clearly doesn't. She hated when that happened more so then anything else.
