LA PERLA
Located in historic Walker's Point, La Perla sets the neighborhood abuzz as the margaritas flow at an alarming pace. Delicious food, an ever-growing tequila collection of 225 varieties and a giant chili pepper you can ride for a quarter make this Milwaukee's most popular Mexican restaurant. Customers enjoy dining outside, but come early--the deck is one of the most popular places in the city on warm summer days.

TAYLOR'S
Elegant French doors that open gracefully onto the sidewalk provide a dramatic welcome into this posh nightclub. A dazzling array of well-dressed professionals fill the place, particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings. Boasting one of the city's best happy hours, Taylor's is a popular spot for late-evening socializing, and is a great after-work rendezvous location. Frequent sports-celebrity sightings add an air of excitement to the vibe.

SAFE HOUSE
Just finding the place feels like "Mission Impossible." Look for a red door bearing the name "International Exports, Ltd."--a front, of course. Once inside (be prepared to be de-briefed at the door) you'll be transported into the world of international espionage. From secret passageways, James Bond-inspired martinis (shaken, not stirred), sinking bar stools and phone booths equipped with background noise to support various alibis, it's easily one of the most unique nightclubs anywhere.

MILWAUKEE GRILL
Surrounded by wood-paneled walls adorned with vintage black-and-white photographs, families and young couples dine in cozy brown leather booths. Middle-aged business types unwind with cocktails and beer at the bar. Through a large window, diners get a view of the busy kitchen, where chefs fry locally caught fish, broil juicy chicken and grill large, tender steaks. Portions are big enough for two and come with flaky, warm buttermilk biscuits and creamy homemade coleslaw. ((this description was borrowed from this site))

5 O'CLOCK CLUB
For the past 50 years, this has been the place for steak in Milwaukee. Little has changed in this 1950s-style supper club; why mess with success? Like a radio contest, the phone starts ringing each Tuesday at 4pm, and those fortunate enough to get through will win a table sometime during the upcoming week at Milwaukee's oldest steak house. Once you enter with your prized reservation, take a seat at the bar, place your order, enjoy a cocktail and let the kitchen do its work. ((this description provided by this site))
