caring / loyal / protective - grace is one to care deeply about others. she's a sweet girl who makes a wonderful friend. she would never turn her back on someone she cared about and can become extremely protective of those she loves. others mean a great deal to her. grace has separation anxiety, after losing her parents and losing a close friend. part of her protectiveness is that she can't bear to lose anymore people in her life.
bookworm / sarcastic / funny - this super intelligent girl loves nothing more then curling up with a good book. she enjoys schooling and is now in university, her first year. on some level, she may be considered a bit of a nerd, but she's got a witty tongue to those who would say so. the girl is sarcastic, i mean, who isn't? but she takes that to another level sometimes and often uses wit as a decoy. a lot of the time, her sarcasm translates into humor. always up for a laugh, grace doesn't mind this. she's quite a funny girl when she wants to be, and loves to laugh and smile.
depressed? / scared - when her parents passed away, the first three months grace went into a depression. though normally a happy girl, she was angry, sad, emotional and quiet among other things. that ended after about three months, though it took a year or so to accept her parents death. when colton died, for close to three months grace barely talked to anyone. the emotions from before came back, intensified. now she's afraid to get too close to others, in fear that they will leave her.

the room was quiet except for one noise. the cry of a baby girl. the tension moments before could have been cut with a knife. she wasn't supposed to make it out alive. grace arlene kingston was born under rough circumstances. her mother and father hadn't planned her, but wanted her very much. the day of her birth, september 3rd, was one of the scariest in the young parents lives. oliver roy kingston, her dad, was twenty five and maginda sky kingston, her mother, just twenty. the two weren't married and never had been. grace had come as a totally shock when they found out nine months before, but from the beginning, they wanted to have her. then that day, september third, they thought they were going to lose her. minutes before her birth, the doctors were scrambling to make sure it would be alright. the cord had started to tangle, causing it to wrap close around the baby's neck. but by some miracle, the baby turned and it loosened, allowing her to be born alive. from that day on, oliver and maginda saw their baby girl as a miracle, a blessing. she was named grace for the glory of god.
the family was poor. they lived in a one bedroom house which closer resembled a shack. grace was more quiet then loud, so the couple could spend most nights getting a good sleep. the environment which they were bringing their child up in wasn't cutting it for the couple. but they both had little money. oliver was a carpenter and maginda worked a few times a month only, as a cleaner in a retirement home. maginda had no parents and oliver's dad was sick in a nursing home with little money left over. but the couple worked at it and tried their best to raise grace in a good environment. when grace was starting school, her mother got a job as a receptionist at a car dealership, part time. she started making over triple the money she had before. the family moved into a small apartment with two bedrooms. things were looking up for them. oliver's father passed away later that year, leaving the family everything he had left, as oliver was an only child.
though her family had always been lower class, grace never pity herself. she went to school and made many friends. she always helped out at home when she could, and she had a positive outlook on her life. when she hit her first year of middle school, she could have never been happier. she was making wonderful grades, had a few really close friends and her parents had decided to get married. grace had secretly dreamed about them marrying forever, and couldn't wait. the wedding was beautiful. mom and dad had used money they had saved when her grandpa passed away to pay for it, plus now that they were both in better jobs, that really helped. it wasn't lavish, since they really couldn't afford that much, but it was beautiful. simple. the money they had saved on the wedding went towards their honeymoon. they were going to hawaii! though grace wanted badly to attend, she knew they didn't have enough money, and she also knew the honeymoon was for the couple only. so she stayed home with a family friend, since she had no living relatives. they were gone only for three days, since it was all the small family could afford. they called her everyday from their trip. the last day they called from the airport, waiting to head home. it was the last time grace heard from either of her parents.
their flight home crashed when it had landed. the plane had spun out of control, crashing right into the landing strip. there were only three survivors, grace's parents not being in that statistic. she was eleven and an orphan, with no living family to turn too. grace was almost immediately taken in by the jacobs family. that transition was hard for her. she didn't want to be with them, she wanted to be alone. if she couldn't be with her parents, she wanted to be alone. the first three months she barely talked and was always angry, sad, upset and emotional. but her outlook was changed rather quickly. though it took almost a year for her to accept her parents deaths, this family quickly became dear to her heart. anna and richard jacobs were two very kind people, very young too. they had two sons. colton and dakota. but when grace first moved in with the family, dakota wasn't around. not seven months and eighteen days. during that time grace was never told exactly where he was or why. she got along with colton quite well and when dakota came home, they became best friends rather quickly. the two were inseparable from the time they might until the present.
seven months after dakota came home the family moved to milwaukee and have been there since. now eighteen, grace struggles with every day life. three years ago colton died. grace went into another state of depression, the first since her parents passed. she couldn't stand to have another person she loved taken away from her. though colton was never a brother to her, he was a friend. anna and richard were never parents to her, but guardians. and dakota had never been a brother to her either. she realized a couple years ago how she really felt about her best friend. when she was sixteen something changed about the way she felt for dakota. something that had always been there, but that fire grew bigger. she loved him. though he had never really been like a brother in her eyes, though none of them were her family in her eyes, grace didn't know how to feel about this. was it awkward? so she hid her feelings from everyone, including dakota.wow, i'm glad to be joining UNTOUCHED. my name just so happens to be ZIP, and the celebrity who i am using just so happens to be emma watson. i've been doing this for over four years, so i pretty much know how this all works.
