& i'm just a fool for you;( AND I THINK I'M GOING CRAZY )- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Growing up in Milwaukee had never been anything overly exciting for Raithen. His parents had lived there all their lives too. It seemed most generations of his family had, on both sides. He, like his parents before him, was brought up in a middle class household of hard working individuals. His father was a worker at the brewery, his mother an accountant. They worked hard on a day to day basis, leaving Raithen with his younger twin siblings, who were six years younger then he. In a way, he always seemed to know that would be the life he would lead. Living in Milwaukee, working hard and being proud, hopefully one day raising a family. All that good stuff. Raith never really did plan on leaving the city. It was all he knew in honestly. The people, the sounds and the sights. He looked out the window of his apartment to the streets below of the downtown area in which he was located. This was home.
It was a cool Saturday in October, the same as many others. Raithen was working an evening shift at the bar, so he didn't start until 7pm, approximately another seven hours from the current time. Stepping away from the window, he passed the couch and walked into the small kitchen, right up the stairs to the second level of his simple duplex apartment. Daniella was supposed to be coming over shortly and Raith had practically just rolled out of bed. Though he was sure she wouldn't care, he did, and so he headed to his room to grab the bath towels he had left up there. Once he grabbed himself one, he hopped back down the stairs past the small kitchen to go into the bathroom, which was just a right turn when you walked in the front door. He quickly undressed and got into the hot shower, taking only 10 minutes or so to finish. With the dark towel wrapped snuggly around his waist, he moved from the bathroom back upstairs to get changed. His outfit of choice was a grey longsleeve shirt, that clung slightly to the definition of his chest muscles and light washed jeans. The usual shamrock necklace hung loosely from his neck and he put on socks since his feet got cold with the temperature being what it was.
Once he was dressed, he ran the towel over his shaggy wet hair to dry it up a bit and jogged back down the stairs straight into the kitchen to put on a pot of coffee. With it all set up all he had to do was flick the on switch and sit and wait. Taking a seat at a stool, he drummed his fingers on the counter as he slouched back. Daniella would be arriving shortly.
Raithen had known Dani for about two years now. They had met at his work. After seeing her come in a few times he finally spoke to her about something other then drinks. With his kindness and charm, they had hit it off right away, but as nothing more then friends. While the shaggy haired guy found her attractive, she was four years younger then he, landing her at just twenty, which he felt was a little to young for him. But after almost two years he had found himself falling for her. When he realized the feeling was returned, the two started dating, just about two months ago. Raith was crazy about Dani, even though the relationship was still quite fresh. What made it so great was probably the fact they had a solid friendship behind it, so they were really close as friends as well as in their romantic relations.

yeah, you gotta piece of me and honestly, ( MY LIFE WOULD SUCK WITHOUT YOU )
D
aniella had woken up early this morning. It was pretty unusual considering she had nothing to do today. It was her day off, so usually she'd sleep in. But not today. She was up early. Today, she was going to Raithen's house a little after noon. It was 8:30, so she had some time to kill. She didn't feel like leaving her house until it was time to go to her boyfriend's house, though. So, she had no choice but to keep herself busy in her apartment. Nothing was on t.v this early in the morning, so she just kept it on the music channel. She picked up her portfolio and began flipping through it. She had done this about twenty times before, but she was excited for it. Dani wanted to get a few more pictures in it, but then she was going to send it to a magazine and see if they'd hire her. Working for the newspaper could be fun, but she didn't want to do it forever. After she was done with that, she decided to eat some breakfast. Daniella wasn't in the mood to bring out the frying pan and such. Instead, she grabbed a bowl and a spoon and had some good ol' Fruity Pebbles. Her favorite. By the time she was done, it was time for her to go hop in the shower. So, she did just that. She walked into her bedroom and stripped down, then grabbed a towel. The bathroom was connected to her bedroom, so she walked right in from her room. Twenty minutes later, Daniella was out. She always took pretty long showers, especially when she was going to Raithen's apartment, or to go see him. She knew that he wouldn't really care if she came in sweatpants with no makeup, but she wanted to look good for him. She came out of the shower and picked out her clothes. She decided on her favorite pair of boots to go along with them. She got dressed, did her hair, her makeup, and was out the door as soon as her keys and cell phone were in her hand. Dani hopped in her car, and headed straight to Raithen's apartment. At a red light, she had remembered that she hadn't had any coffee all morning. She almost wanted to turn around, but Raithen's was the next left and she would have to go all the way back down the street. Nah, it wasn't worth it. As soon as the light turned green, Daniella took off, and took that left. Then, she was in the parking lot of the complex. She parked right next to the building that Raithen's apartment was in and headed inside. She stuffed her hands in the pockets of her peacoat as she walked. Her hands were always cold and she hated it. She figured she'd try to warm them up or something. But she was indoors, and it was certainly warmer than it was inside. Daniella had known her boyfriend for about two years now. He was a bartender at a club she went to often. Finally, while sitting at the bar, Raithen came to talk to her. But, this time it was a real conversation. She had come to find that this man was rather charming. He was also four years older than her. But that didn't stop Daniella from being attracted to him. And apparently it didn't stop Raithen either. Now, they've been going out for two months. Daniella really likes dating an older guy, especially Raithen. They have such chemistry and she loves being around him. Not only were they a couple, but good friends also. They're relationship was still new, but things were going awesome so far and Daniella loved it. She finally reached his door and knocked on it. "Open the door, babe!" She called to him. She wasn't really that impatient, she was just excited to see him. He hadn't even opened the door yet, but Daniella was still grinning. When the door swung open, Dani wrapped her arms around his neck. It felt nice to have him in her arms again. She pulled back just enough to give him a soft kiss on the lips. "I missed you, Raithen." She said with a smaller smile. because , we belong together now, ( FOREVER UNITED, HERE SOMEHOW ) word count , bby -- * 716 lyrics , darling -- * my life would suck without you, kelly clarkson comments , doll -- * aww, they're gonna be cute. :] outfiit!wake up , the credits are rolling -- * abbie.doll of caution 2.0 made this! & i'm just a fool for you;( AND I THINK I'M GOING CRAZY )- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - As he sat alone in the apartment, he listened to the sound of the coffee drip from the machine into the empty pot. There was nothing to do but wait, as the minutes ticked on. She probably wouldn't be long now, as it was just after noon. Knowing her, she had gotten all "dressed up" to come over, even though she knew he thought she was just as beautiful in no makeup and sweats. On some level, he had done the same thing though, not wanting to keep the 'I just rolled out of bed' look for her visit.
Before he realized it, the pot of coffee was almost full and time had passed by rather quickly. A knock came from a few feet away at the door, followed by a familiar voice. "Open the door, babe!" Smiling, he stood from his stool and walked the short distance to his apartment door, swinging it open to see his girlfriend looking as good as always. Her arms were around his neck in a quick motion, his around her waist. She was several inches shorter then he, but the heels on her boots made the difference less then normal. Both pulled back just slightly, her lips meeting his in a soft brush. As they parted their lips, she spoke again. "I missed you, Raithen." The corners of his lips pulled up even more, parting to show his pearly white teeth. "I missed you too," he replied as he let go of her waist and held the door open for her to come in.
Once she had entered, he shut the door behind them and followed her into the small kitchen. Mostly everything about his apartment small, but that was because he lived there by himself. Besides, Raith wasn't extremely wealthy and even if he was, he wouldn't want a huge home to live in all alone. "Coffee?" he grinned, pulling out the finished pot from the machine as he stood at the counter. From the cupboard he retrieved two large mugs and poured them both to full. Both mugs were then set down on the island, where a small bowl of sugar and a container of milk had already been set out before she arrived. He walked past her to sit, planting a kiss on the top of her head as he moved by. Once seated, he picked up his mug, took a swig, then turned to Dani. "How goes the job hunt?" he asked, reffering to her recent search for a magazine to hire her. Dani, a talent photographer, worked at a newspaper, but wanted to be working at magazine. Raithen supported her fully on this, of course. He often told her how much he loved her photos, the truth of course. Daniella wasn't the only photographer he knew, but she was his favourite. Maybe that was because he was a bit bias, but whatever. Besides her, he knew Millie, a close friend of his. Then there was another friend of his from high school who had gone onto do some free lance work. But from what Raithen saw, he would chose Dani as the most talented of the bunch.
Not only did he find her talented, but he really thought she deserved it. Dani worked hard and was an amazing girl, who he felt should get this in her life. Even if they weren't in a relationship and they had always remained just friends, he would have wished the same for her. Dani had been through a lot and things were going good for her recently, so why shouldn't she have this?
As he sat, he glanced over to his girlfriend lovingly. It was hard not to notice how amazing she looked. Grinning to himself, he looked back to his coffee and picked it up to take another sip, then stood up. Motioning to her, he moved across the apartment into the living room, which was directly attached to the kitchen. The couch was in the shape of an L, half of it facing the window, half facing the opposite wall where the television was positioned. Grabbing a spot facing the window, he waited for Daniella to join him.

aniella was glad to hear that he had missed her too, although it was expected that he say it back. Otherwise, she would have gotten a little annoyed. She walked through the door way and into his kitchen. She slipped off her peacoat and hung it on one of the chairs that she sat on. "Yes, pleaaase. I didn't get my usual morning coffee." She said with a nod. It was ironic that he had coffee ready and she had missed her morning coffee. How perfect was that? How perfect was he? She smiled like a little girl when he gave her kiss on the top of her forehead. She reached for the sugar and poured some in, followed by the milk. Dani got up and got herself a spoon to mix it all around. She slid back in her chair, and mixed up her coffee. She licked the coffee off of the spoon then took a sip of her coffee. It warmed her up and it's taste was perfect. It felt like she hadn't had coffee in a week. This coffee tasted just like it did when she got it from the coffee shop. It made her think about investing in a coffeemaker for her apartment. It would probably save her a good amount of money. Dani was grateful for Raithen's support. He kept her going when she was feeling down, or not too confident. In return, she was supportive of his decisions. Not only was she being a good girlfriend, but a good friend also. She sipped from her coffee briefly before she answered Raithen. "Well, I decided I'm going to send in my portfolio to Seventeen. I just wanna get a couple more pictures in there before I do." Daniella told him. She had read Seventeen magazines since she was fourteen. When she was living with just her brothers, she would steal them by ripping off the bar codes and putting them in other magazines. It worked every time. Of course, when she moved to Milwaukee she just bought them like a normal person. But regardless, she grew up on Seventeen. Why not work for them now? She just hoped that they liked her enough to give her a job. That would be the greatest news she would get in a really long time. Daniella followed Raithen into his living room which was connected to the kitchen. She had always liked that about his apartment. Her's almost did the same thing, but she liked how Raith's apartment looked. It was cozy, especially for one person. That's what she thought. She sat down nice and close to him, resting her head on his shoulder. She was warm next to him. Not to mention, Dani loved the cologne he had on. If he had any on. Either way, she liked how he smelled. She sighed a happy sigh. "So. How are things with you?" She asked her boyfriend, looking up at him. She could sit here with him forever. It was nice for them to just be sitting there, chatting. Daniella could do this all day with Raithen and not get bored. She put her arm across his chest, as if to hug him. But she really just wanted to hold him. Daniella was nice and comfortable, not really wanting to move. She had no reason to anyways. because , we belong together now, ( FOREVER UNITED, HERE SOMEHOW ) word count , bby -- * 559, a little shorter than usual.. lyrics , darling -- * my life would suck without you, kelly clarkson comments , doll -- * omg, yes! i looked him up on photobucket and was liike woww, they could be bros. lol outfiit!wake up , the credits are rolling -- * abbie.doll of caution 2.0 made this! & i'm just a fool for you;( AND I THINK I'M GOING CRAZY )- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "Yes, pleaaase. I didn't get my usual morning coffee." The taller male chuckled lightly at her words, pushing the mug towards her even more slightly. He knew all too well what it was like to miss that morning coffee. It was the one thing that started his day, pushed him forward and got him going. Perhaps a bit of a coffee addict, he had one every morning. The stuff was great to wake him up. Even though he was a bartender, he wasn't a huge drinker, though he did enjoy a beer every so often. Coffee was much more his thing. As he kissed her head, he couldn't help but breathe in her sweet scent, before moving past. Dani always smelt so good. It wasn't even a strong perfume scent, but sweet and almost natural smelling. Whatever it was, it was amazing.
Honestly interested, he hung off her words as she spoke. "Well, I decided I'm going to send in my portfolio to Seventeen. I just wanna get a couple more pictures in there before I do." The magazine rang familiar in his mind. All to often he had seen her browsing through it in her free time or a copy laying around her apartment. It was a young female directed magazine was all he was really aware of. He knew they had fashion spreads, but that was about it. A wide smile formed on his rough features. "That's amazing Dani," he told her. "If you need any help, lemme know..." he paused briefly. "Though I don't know how I would be able too," he chuckled. His friend Millie was a photographer as well, and always said he made a quite alright model in the right lighting. He mentally laughed at this. That being said, he wouldn't exactly consider himself model material, not in his own mind.
When she joined him on the couch, that sweet scent he loved surrounded him once more. As her head rested on his shoulders, he wrapped one strong arm around her shoulders, pulling her in close. It was so comfortable, so perfect, just sitting there with her. Raithen was a bit of a romantic, quite charming as well. Maybe that meant he appreciated these kinds of things more then other guys, maybe not. But whatever the case may be, he was more then content, sitting there with her. "So. How are things with you?" Taking a gulp of his coffee, he made a slight shrugging motion, though not enough to disrupt their positions. "Same as always. Better now that you're here," he laughed lightly, smiling down at her. "Work has been rather busy lately. Other then that, everything's typical," he admitted. There was never much new news in Raithen's life. Even if there ever was, Dani was typically the first to know. He kept her well informed, so they wasn't much to say on that subject when they saw each other. Those times would be when he wasn't working and neither was she. Plus they had their own social lives to keep up with, but the two did see each other quite regularly. Raith was thankful for that, because even the short times they were apart really did feel like a lot longer. And maybe that was cheesy, but it was how he felt.
