OCC:((I hope I am posting this right. I don't really want to move my roleplays around, so I figured this would work if I stayed in the US))
The Wisconsin breeze blew threw Daine's waves as she trotted her horse down the side of a dirt road. Her feet hung down by the horse's sides instead of secure in the stirrups. She took a deep breath as the winds blew, taking in the sweet scent of the country. It had been months since she had smelled the clean air instead of the foggy, chocking smell of the air in the city. She dropped the reins to stretch her soar back, and heard a car coming just a little ways up the road. Picking back up the reins, she reeled her trusty horse farther off the road.
She sighed as she watched the car drive by. If it wouldn't have been for an accident several years ago, she could have been driving a car, or had a home. Heck she may even know someone, but that wasn't the deck of cards she had been dealt. Instead here she was with nothing to her name but the clothes on her back, and this horse that was found with her at the accident. Running her free hand across her right arm, Daine remember her first memories of her life. Almost as if she had been reborn at the age of 19 she woke up in a hospital bed all alone, and confused.
"It won't do me any good to fret over it will it?" she cooed to her horse. Her hand ran down the mare's silky, black neck as she rode on.
The mare's snort meant nothing to Daine, but she took it as a sign to just hush and tell her where to go. Even though Daine had not recognized the mare after the accident, Thunder had recognized her immediately after Daine went to see her once she was well enough to get down to the hospital's stables. Only in North Dakota did a hospital have a stable.
"It is getting dark, and we still have a couple miles left before we get to the camping ground. Do you have it in you to run the distance. I know you would enjoy stretching your legs." she whispered to the mare. At the word "run" the mare's ears pricked forward, and she began to prance. She loved to sail through the trees, and over bushes, but Daine didn't want to over work the mare. They had been traveling all day mostly walking, but Thunder had to carry not only Daine, but any and all belongings that she owned.
Daine gave up however as she couldn't get the mare to calm down enough to ride comfortably, so she leaned down over her neck, and clucked to her. It wasn't two seconds later, and the two, horse and rider merged together, and disappeared in a blur along the road. Even at the impossible speed to two seemed to be going at, it still took them a couple minutes to get there.
There was only one other tent pitched in the open field, so Daine decided this was a good place to stop, and pitch up her camp. After ground tying Thunder, it was only a couple minutes before she had the tent pitched, sleeping back rolled out, and a fire built in one of the fire pits. She had just settle down next to the fire as the sun crawled behind the land turning the land around her black and red from the light of her fire.
